Acceptable Use & Content Policy

The acceptable use rules for ZombieCouple: what you can and cannot generate or upload, how automated moderation works, how violations are enforced, how to report content, and how to appeal.

Last updated: 2026-10-14

Every photo you upload is screened before it is stored, and every scene still a model generates is screened again before it is used. Finished videos are not screened automatically; they rely on the checks on their inputs and on reports, which a person reviews. This page is our acceptable use policy and forms part of the terms of service; it sets out what the screen looks for and what happens when the rules are broken.

Everything generated here is AI-generated. Content you publish on other platforms is also subject to those platforms' own community standards and moderation.

What you can make

We hold generated content to a broad-audience standard. Within it, the bar is wide:

  • Emotional, movie-style zombie stories: zombie makeup, post-apocalyptic scenes and a warm memory of the two of you.
  • Your partner, a friend or your pet as the one who turns.
  • Photos of yourself and of adults who agreed to appear in the video.

What is not allowed

An upload is rejected — before anything is charged — and a result is removed after the fact when it falls into any of these categories.

  • NSFW and sexual content. Any NSFW, sexual or sexually suggestive content, in any form, in an upload or a result.
  • Photos of children. Only upload photos of adults (or of your pet).
  • Photos of public figures. Celebrities, politicians and other well-known people are not allowed, even in a photo you took yourself. There is no automatic face recognition, so this rests on you; reported cases are removed.
  • Anything that sexualises or endangers minors. Zero tolerance, no exceptions, and confirmed cases are reported to the relevant authorities.
  • Graphic violence and gore (blood, wounds, gore), and content that glorifies real violence, real atrocities, self-harm or suicide. The zombie look stays at movie-makeup level.
  • Hate and extremism. Hate symbols, extremist insignia, terrorist content, and content that attacks people for who they are.
  • Real people and impersonation. A real person's likeness or name used to impersonate them, or for harassment, false endorsement, or without their consent.
  • Scams and account theft. Fake giveaway videos, phishing content, or anything designed to trick people out of their accounts or money.
  • Copyright and trademark infringement. Someone else's characters, logos, brands or works reproduced as-is. Inspiration is fine; a copy is not.
  • Bypass attempts — repeatedly re-uploading or altering a rejected photo to route around the screen.

How moderation works

  1. No free-text prompts. The video is described only by the scene and options you pick, so there is no text for anyone to abuse.
  2. Photo screening, on upload. Every photo is checked by an automated NSFW classifier before it is stored. A rejected photo is never kept; we log the attempt but not the image. Only upload photos of people who have agreed to appear in the video.
  3. Output screening, before use. Generated scene stills are checked by an automated safety classifier before they are used. A result that fails is discarded and its credits are refunded. If a safety check is temporarily unreachable, the video is not made, any credits are refunded, and you are asked to try again in a minute. Finished videos are not screened automatically: they are made only from inputs that passed these checks, and any video reported to us is reviewed by a person.
  4. Human review of every report. A person reads every report we receive and decides what happens to the content.
  5. Records. We keep a record of every automated decision and every human review decision, so that blocks can be checked, appeals handled and our moderation audited.

The screen is automated and imperfect in both directions: it rejects things it should not, and things slip through. That is what reporting and appeals are for. Passing our screen does not guarantee that another platform will accept the content.

Enforcement

  • Upload rejected — the generation never runs and nothing is charged.
  • Content removed — we take it down, refund the credits on request, and tell you which rule it broke.
  • Account suspended — for repeated violations or a single serious one.
  • Permanent ban and referral — for content that sexualises minors, terrorist content and other zero-tolerance categories.

Reporting content

  • Policy violations: support@zombiecouple.org
  • Copyright and trademark: dmca@zombiecouple.org

Include the page URL and what is wrong with it. We reply within two business days, remove anything that violates this policy, and keep the reporter's identity confidential.

Appeals

If a photo was rejected or content was removed and you think we got it wrong, email support@zombiecouple.org within 14 days with the link or the rejection message. A person reviews it and replies within five business days. If we agree, the content is restored and any credits charged are returned.

Changes

We update this page when the screen changes. The date at the top is the last revision.
